Academic skills podcasts

Over twenty years ago I spent a year in Turkey and at the time I could communicate quite well in Turkish. I have started to have Turkish lessons recently and I have forgotten everything! That’s quite depressing, but the good thing is that it has made me think again about how hard it is to learn and operate in a foreign language. But it is even worse for you guys because you don’t just have to operate in English, but you need to operate in Academic English! You need to spend as much time as you can listening to Academic English and that is where podcasts can help you. I am have been exploring the amazing collection of podcasts on Academic Skills from the Australian National University. There are a huge number of podcasts on a range of academic topics and some of them are available as videos too. Explore these podcasts from the Academic Skills and Learning Centre at ANU here.
