Everybody has been talking about going shopping in pyjamas! There’s a branch of Tesco in Cardiff, Wales, which has got fed up with people shopping in their pyjamas and has banned shoppers who are wearing them! I very much enjoyed listening to the woman complaining about being banned from the shop. As she says, ‘I only popped in for a pack of fags‘! English learners should take the opportunity to read the article and then practise their colloquial English listening skills by listening to the unhappy shopper. This great story is here. Is it just the Brits who like to go shopping in their nightwear?
(Can’t access it? I’d like to know!)

Very strange indeed!!! In India wearing pyjamas is not a fashion. In our villages almost everybody wears pyjamas; even in cities a lot of people wear them. In a country like ours cotton pyjamas provide comfort. Till recently, most of our politicians used to wear either dhoti-kurta or pyjama-kurta.
