Brrrr! We are in the grip of a cold snap in the UK. It’s freezing! I live in a very old house with lots of draughts and I am staying close to the fire. There is a lot of snow in other parts of the country, but none here in the south west. The children are keeping their fingers crossed that it will snow, hoping to get some time off school and play snowballs! This is what other parts of the UK are getting:

but not in Plymouth!

I have been enjoying an online graphical dictionary which I haven’t seen before. The dictionary gives you related words and definitions and presents them graphically which I think may really appeal to some learners. You really need to try it out! Take an example word or phrase such as cold snap and write it in the box and see what you get. Let me know what you think after you’ve tried it. Visuwords online graphical dictionary is here.
