Referencing tools

I’m always looking around the Internet for advice, tips and tools about things like referencing. As I was saying to my students: referencing is a bit like going to the dentist. It’s horrible. It’s boring. It’s almost physically painful. But in the end you know it does you good! I have rewritten my page on Referencing: the Harvard system which I hope makes it really easy to see how to refer to authors and how to write an entry for your bibliography.
I have also been enjoying looking at a tool from the University of Nottingham which shows you how to reference your work. You can choose all the different variables (such as one author, two authors, book, article, and so on and it will show what the citation should look like and what the bibliography entry should look like too. You can find the tool here.
