Linking words

Here in the UK we have been enjoying a great parliamentary crisis. My local member of parliament has claimed £24 000 every year to look after his garden!

Using a variety of linking words correctly is essential to successful academic writing and getting that ‘cohesion’ that I have talked about before. There is no easy way to learn them all – you need to read as much as you can and you need to read lots of examples and explanations of them.
